one recommendation would be some sort of altitude control. It seems intimidating and unsafe for the craft to be able to fly so high. Maybe it wasn't getting very high, but there was a moment or two that made it seem like it was up there. that would be a safety concern for alot of people interested in buying one of these. considering most people don't want to fall to their death.
This is cool, but just too dangerous for a man-carrying vehicle. In the event of a power failure (as in a computer or motor controller glitch) the thing will just drop like a rock.
Can i have one for free with a camera to film me dropping water on people smoking and with a PA mounted on the drone shout loudly ''SMOKING IS BAD!'' :D
they literally did nothing besides make a worse version of a quadcopter. They overlapped the blades, making it worse, AND ADDED A PERSON TO IT, they did absolutely nothing.
+PCextras can i ask you a question just dont be angry..ahmmmm so what are you expecting in a future hoverbike? anti-gravity?it could,or like william wasp x-jet? best,or like moller driven by wankel engine? now the quadcopter use to be a drone...that is very advance than the past experiment ,but in early avaition history the military has already a four engine driven air vehicle experimental aircraft that is driven by a man or a pilot.
Could be a good product but a scaled project doesn't prove much. Any quadcopter drone flies but isn't a proof that a full scale project would work (spoilers : most quadcopters drones wouldn't). In fact, I'm sure that we can do a 1/5 scaled flying raptor. Sorry but until we at least have a test run (not fully operationnal) of a full scale project with battery autonomy specifics, security etc, it's just another project among many.
You know something? That Design Makes Absolute Sense... TWO Propellers? Like Two Wheels... However, Placed at a 90 Degrees... Replacing Torque with Force to achieve Upward Lift instead of Forward Motion... Pitch and Yaw to achieve Direction...
Hmmm...
The Only Problem I can see in The Design? Is Controlling Downward Motion, Stopping, Wind Factor, and the Effects of Weather...
Is your final full size version going to be an overlapped quad as well? The mock up looked like a twin rotor. I think there is already a twin doing hops in another video I saw on here so the competition is there. Good luck with your endeavour and fly safe.
